Trinidad & Tobago, Caribbean: 7 Days
Day 1: Chaguaramas Bay, Trinidad
Explore the rainforests of the northern mountains with an experienced local guide. Trinidad is a birdwatcher's paradise and there is a wide variety of hiking trails to explore the waterfalls, caves and rainforest. Cruise around the north coast to spend the night at tranquil Scotland Bay.
Day 2: Scarborough and Buccoo Reef
Cruise ove rto Scarborough, Tobago's main town. Here you'll find shops and the historic Fort King George, now a museum. Next, sail around to Store Bay, the perfect base to take a tender ride round to Pigeon Point and the lovely Buccoo Reef for some snorkeling.
Day 3: Mount Irvine Bay, Stone Haven Bay
Now take a short trip to Mount Irvine Bay to anchor and explore the mangrove-fringed Bon Accord Lagoon. Golfers will enjoy the Mount Irvine Golf Course, near Grange Beach, which is great for swimming. North of Mt, Irvine Bay, is Stone Haven Bay, where the four-star Le Grand Courlan Spa Resort has the best spa facilities on Tobago.
Day 4: Cotton Bay and Castara, Tobago
Leisurely cruise northeast to Cotton Bay on your Trinidad and Tobago superyacht charter. If your visit is between March and August you may be able to watch the huge leatherback turtles come in to lay eggs in Great Courland Bay. Stop for a snorkel and swim in Arnos Vale Bay, then make your way to Castara Bay where there are two beautiful beaches here. Hike up into the hills to find the waterfalls and watch the sunset.
Day 5: Englishman's Bay, Bloody Bay
Enjoy the sheltered bay and great snorkeling in Englishman's Bay where the rainforest meets the beach. Visit the tiny fisherman's haven of Parlatuvier Bay for an authentic taste of Tobago and then cruise to Bloody Bay. The beauty of this bay belies its gruesome name which is said to originate from an historic battle that turned the sea red.
Day 6: Man'O'War Bay, Pirate's Bay
Head to the northern tip of Tobago over to huge Man'O'War Bay to visit deserted bays such as Dead Man's Bay and Waterfall Bay while you explore Charlotteville and its fishing village.
Day 7: Tobago to Trinidad, Departure
After breakfast, snorkel at Little Tobago Island before heading the 50 miles south back to Trinidad....unless the bays hold you in for a few more days of paradise!
