Airlie Beach to Airlie Beach, Australia: 7 Days

Day 1: Airlie Beach to Hook Island

Abel Point Marina in Airlie Beach makes an ideal starting point for yacht charter into the Whitsunday Islands. After settling in cruise across the Whitsunday Passage to Hook Island and an attractive overnight anchorage point at Nara Inlet. Hook Island is a great place to explore and is home to caves displaying primitive Aboriginal art and small waterfalls. Hook Island also offers great swimming and diving with spectacular spots such as Butterfly Bay and the scenic Manta Ray Bay.

Day 2: Hook Island to Hamilton Island

Hamilton Island is the largest island resort in Australia and offers a more modern island experience. Here you can indulge in boutique shopping, fine dining and watersports that are guaranteed to keep kids of all ages entertained.

Day 3: Hamilton Island to Whitsunday Island

Whitsunday Island is the largest of the Whitsunday group and home Whitehaven Beach. Undoubtedly one of the best beaches, Whitehaven Beach is over 7 kilometers long, lined with crystal waters and sublimely soft sand. It is a must-see stop in any Whitsundays itinerary. Anchor in Tongue Bay at the northern end of the beach for a safe overnight stay and a delicious dinner under the stars.

Day 4: Whitsunday Island to Border Island

After breakfast on the aft deck head to the snorkeling paradise of Border Island. Cateran Bay is an excellent spot to head with its kaleidoscopic corals and breathtaking variety of fish.

Day 5: Border Island to Hayman Island

Dubbed as the most luxurious and exclusive of all the Whitsundays, Hayman Island is home to opulent resorts and restaurants. Indulge at one of the spas for the afternoon or take in amazing snorkeling opportunities at Blue Pearl Bay but don't miss the sunset from Stonehaven, it is one to remember.

Day 6: Hayman Island to Black Island

Also called Bali Hai, Black Island is a r small islamd circled by reef. Onshore is a National Park full of great walking paths and facilities such as tennis courts and golf courses.

Day 7: Black Island to Daydream Island & Airlie Beach

End your charter with a visit to Daydream Island which also boasts some fabulous snorkeling. Head back to Airlie Beach in the afternoon for a flight home or perhaps to explore the rest of Australia's fine cruising grounds.
