Raiatea to Raiatea, French Polynesia: 9 Days
Day 1: Raiatea & Tahaa
Widely considered to be one of the friendliest and most hospitable of the French Polynesian Islands, Raiatea is the perfect starting point to board your yacht. North of Raiatea is the island of Tahaa offering scenic walking paths and colorful reefs for snorkeling. To the northeast of the island are some fantastic south pacific beaches and quaint restaurants.
Day 2: Tahaa to Maupiti
Leaving early, enjoy breakfast as you cruise to the island of Maupiti. Well known for its breathtaking beaches, luscious interior and generous lagoon. Maupiti is also a top bird-spotting location home to a number of native birds nowhere else in the world. Rich with Polynesian history, there are a number of temples to be explored and pleasant anchorages to be found.
Day 3, 4 & 5: Bora Bora
The most famous of the Polynesian islands is Bora Bora, appearing on countless postcards and travel photographs around the world. Everything you can imagine a south pacific island paradise to be can be found in Bora Bora; soft beaches, turquoise lagoons, flowered hills, and colorful reefs. A destination for luxury, there are also excellent restaurants, bars and spas to be found and several days are easily spent relaxing amongst the locals and tourists alike.
Day 6, 7 & 8: Huahine
Cruise away from the fun bustle of Bora Bora and head to Huahine Island. Also a Polynesian favorite with its friendly locals, towering mountains and rich vegetation, exquisite beaches and pretty anchorages. This is a great island to rent a Jeep and explore! Enjoy dinner on the flybridge and a breathtaking evening under the stars
Day 9: Raiatea
Heading back to Raiatea for your last day onboard might leave you wanting more! Jump on a flight from Raiatea to the island of Tahiti where a few days can easily be spent enjoying the sun and five-star resorts before you check back in on reality!
